And so, after a bit of waiting, I can finally reveal my artwork for the 'A Very West End Christmas' EP, available to download from iTunes with the proceeds being split between equally between Giggin’ For Good, which raises money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, West End Fests, which raises money for CRY UK and The Band Aid Charitable Trust.  The brainchilds of Darren Bell (http://www.darren-bell.co.uk/) and Kris Rawlinson, it features a host of musical theatre performers.

Hello and welcome to the artea blog.

I will be using this space to share with you the creative side of my life, as well as those things that interest and inspire me along the way.  And what better way to begin than with cake!

Now, those who know me will be well aware that I am a huge fan of all things cake and recently, I've been spending time in the kitchen practicing my baking with some pleasantly surprising results!  So I thought, for my first post, I'd share with you recipe for the mint chocolate cupcakes I made earlier this evening (which turned out lovely!)

I followed a recipe from the BBC food website - BBC cupcake recipe - with a couple of alterations.  I've previously made the vanilla cupcakes using this recipe and found that they turn out rather nicely!

Yum yum!

Although it suggests 12, I've found that 10 is a better number of cupcakes when using this recipe.
